That's not really true, it adds another supported API to the *x86* linux
platform. Picasa and any other wine based ports are utterly useless to
users of other platforms. This more than any of the other reasons in this
thread (be they personal preference, the obvious lack of integration or
technical problems) should make people wary of including such programs in
distros. Of course the licencing issues prevent this discussion from really
mattering, but I think the point is still worth making.
