Power down after shutdown does not work...

You call up a colo to have a drive replaced in a headless server. You
ssh in, shut it down, wait a few minutes, and then have to ask for a
monitor to be wheeled in to see whether there's a real problem or just
an Ubuntu poweroff failure.
Everybody is really impressed. Not.
