I was testing Speedtouch modem borrowed from my friend, as
she has it spare and I have other type of network connection.
I was not dealing with eagle-usb-* at all, but some configuration
steps will be the same and so we should have some generalized
method.

In case of Speedtouch the only real problem I'm aware of is
getting the firmware in a legal way. Fortunately, we have few
options to get it, but I will describe it fully in the other place,
if you don't mind, since it's really depending on tools used and
it's better to test these ideas in connection with real implementation,
and there is person ready to try. Generally speaking we can use
the file from Windows (if exists), from web (if accessible), from
ISP's CD-ROM or recorded by hand on any other device (USB stick,
floppy) as a fallback.

After copying the file to disk and unpacking it to "stages"
the system detects the modem properly and loads module
"speedtch" included in default kernel. The modem then tries
to synchronize with ADSL line, so it seems like it does the
basic thing it should. That's all folks for now, since I don't
have real ADSL line, but when we prepare a solution supposed
to work, I can easily test it on the wild.
