Difficulties with Dapper 6.04

I have just installed Dapper on an Acer Aspire Celeron 3GHz SA-80.
This has been upgraded with ATI Radeon 9800SE AGP and SB Live 5.1PCI.
On original installation, xorg was incorrectly configured to use
built-in SIS graphics (disabled under XP) and built-in AC97 sound
(unused). This was rather annoying, and I am still having problems
with Xv modes, possibly due to this misconfiguration.

I also came across problems with my Kodak CX6200 camera. It is a PTP2
camera, and it worked the first time I used it. On subsequent use, on
attempts to copy photos from the camera, GThumb said something like
"file:///cx6200/anotherdirectory/12345.jpg is not an absolute path" or
something equally as obscure. The photos displayed, but could not be
copied. The MMC card in the built-in card reader was worknig fine.

There was also no driver available for my Hewlett Packard PSC 1400. On
updating the HPIJS, I was able to select the closest match, the
PSC_1300. Seems to work fine. (Uses HPLIP)

I am very impressed with most everything else. Need more info on
blacklisting autoloaded modules which are unneeded. Possibly a GUI
tool for this?

Cheers.
