Customization of Installation CD

 I have need of a customized Ubuntu Dapper installation CD to be used
in upcoming classes at Madison Area Technical College
(http://www.matcmadison.edu) where I am employed.  The following page
instructed me to contact the development team to determine a solution:

I've seen a wiki page with some instructions on customizing Dapper
Live-CDs, but none for the regular installer.  For example:

There is also a wiki page with unofficial methods of customizing the
CD, but I was hoping there was a better, official way to accomplish
the customization of the installer.  Any help, especially in
documentation, would be appreciated.
