2.6.17 kernel and improved wireless support

Is this softmac thing related to devicescape wireless stack or is that still 
in the testing tree? 

I think the coolest thing about 2.6.17 is the automatic selection of UP/SMP 
and optimizations for dual-core chips. Guess we don't need to worry about 
making the installer picking the right kernel at boot anymore :-)
