Installing a compiler by default

Except that it produces:

$ sudo apt-get install build-essentials
Password:
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree... Done
E: Couldn't find package build-essentials

This happens all the time :) The package is "build-essential" ( singular),
of course. 

just one of the reasons for renaming this package...
