Power Button change in functionality

Just because you mentioned sleep... I'll would like to know what
happened to sleep. I have hibernate under my quit options but there is
no sleep button. If I log out to gdm I have the option to sleep.

Why this button isn't there? How do I sleep (acctually not me, but the pc)?
