Personally, I think the features avahi gives, or rather, could give, tip
the scales in its favor. I dream of the day the Network view in Nautilus
will pick up all of the various services running "near" my desktop, and
will launch the right application/whatever for each one (ssh/sftp,
samba, nfs, vnc, X bla bla bla) and thats just one application.....
