I think he meant getting Ubuntu certified for Gaussian, like what was
done for IBM DB2.  The page says (for i386 architecture):
    "SuSE Linux 9.x, 10.0; Red Hat Linux 8.0, EL 4 U2. Other versions
    are not supported."

This is probably off-topic on ubuntu-devel, though.
