Oh, interesting.
I tried three approaches: creating an empty
/var/lib/menu-xdg/menus/debian-menu.menu, removing the symlink and
adding the poll line to /etc/gamin/gaminrc. All failed.
Then I thought that maybe I should have restarted gam_server after any
of those changes. It works!
It even works if I leave everything as it was (no creating file,
removing symlink or changing gamin configuration) and just Alt+F2 then
"killall gam_server".
