- Run gnome-terminal
- gnome-session-properties
set gnome-panel not to restart
- killall gnome-panel
- gnome-panel
Same as before, nothing on output at all. Nothing in /var/log either,
according to ls -lart. ~/.xsession-errors contains this:
http://pastebin.com/541334 (I snipped lots of repeated IPP warnings).
The only thing that makes sense to me in that .xsession-errors is "Host
name lookup failure on localhost.". I fixed /etc/hosts TTBOMK,
restarted gdm but the gnome-panel problem is still there and the error
in .xsession-errors is unchanged.
Ciao,
Enrico still clueless
