Offtopic [embedded widgets]

Hi all!!

I know this question is not for this list but perhaps someone can help
me.

I'm thinking in embed a "componen" in an application. My idea is embed a
nautilus windows my program. Not exactly all the nautilus window, only
the
icon view (no gtk icon view). Yes is madness but is for test. 

Can you help me? Something of documentation, an URL or web. I can't find
anything in the web :( 

My other question (less important) is How i can "say" to external
application minimize it or close etc??

I know that I would not have to ask this to you (woho my english!!) but
i'm very desperate.
