When the user fills up the hard drive

Hmm, on the issue of GDM not working while the disk is maxed out, couldn't
we setup some method whereby the home folder is "locked" from taking in
anymore files if it approaches a set amount of disk usage? If there already
is a mechanism to detect when the disk is getting fully, this shouldn't be
too difficult?  Or am I missing something? Anyways just a suggestion.
