Automatic GRUB installation only if GRUB isn't already installed

Well, after reading many comments here and there:

I'd like to change my suggestion:

If Ubuntu DESKTOP installer detects ANY non-trivial MBR loader, it 
SHOULD ask user.
It can proceed installing Grub ONLY IF the MBR loader is CLEARLY either 
a MICROSOFT one, or NONE AT ALL.
