That's not quite true. Indeed it does not *fully* implement it, but it
behaves *much* more synchronously and reduces the maximum dirty buffer
size a lot, so that the 'dangerous' window between writing and
removing is much smaller.

But using sync is not the answer due to flash wearout and horrible
performance (factor 10 to 100).

The long-term solution is to get another cache flush policy into the
kernel, the specification mentions it and also has a link.
