update-grub and kopt / groot lines

Hum... IMHO, if a dedicated file exist, if a comment in menu.lst talk
about it and if it's clearly indicate in the update-grub man too it will
more clear.
The problem is there is (too?) many commented lines in menu.lst to see
these ones (especially with a text editor with syntaxic colors).
I talk about my experience on my blog (for french reader :

comments show some people forget them too... :-/
The best is maybe a modfication of update-grub by adding verification on
these lines to be sure they are correct ?
