Mono required by ubuntu-desktop

not really - im not saying dont have fspot. I am saying lets keep gthumb 
for low end users who dont need all the bells and whistles of fspot.

Maybe it would be best if the installer detected how much memory you 
have and installed the most appropriate app to match - hows that for a 
practical solution?
