I understand that, even if i own some HP printers. The perfect  
solution is to install modules depending on hardware and user choice.  
That's relied to hal. When hardware is (hot or cold) plugged, an  
hardware support agent verify if the corresponding support software  
is installed. If not, popup, gksudo and synaptic are wokenup to  
install and configure hardware.

That might be a good Google SoC 2006 project :)
