I'm having major loss of functionality. Accutaly, nothing works.
On cupsysd error_log shows:
E [14/Apr/2006:16:57:53 +0200] Unable to save remote.cache - Permission
denied
On gnome-cups-add error log shows:
E [14/Apr/2006:16:58:04 +0200] [CGI] unable to
open /var/run/hplip/hpiod.port: No such file or directory:
prnt/hpijs/hplip_api.c 84
E [14/Apr/2006:16:58:04 +0200] [CGI] unable to connect hpiod socket
50000: Connection refused: prnt/hpijs/hplip_api.c 703
E [14/Apr/2006:16:58:04 +0200] [CGI] unable to send ProbeDevices: Broken
pipe
E [14/Apr/2006:16:58:05 +0200] [cups-driverd] Unable to open driver
directory "/usr/lib/cups/driver": No such file or directory
Last two lines are very indicative. I saw couple of bug reports with
same issues.
I can use all network backends (ipp, smb, lpd...), but no local
backends (usb, parallel, socket...).
Printing on IPP shared printers works fine :)
