LiveCD customization and qemu(dapper)

Hi guys,

Great energy, and fantastic vision from the Ubuntu people; really
exciting, and much appreciated.

Some questions about the LiveCD:

1.) qemu says:
warning: could not open /dev/net/tun: no virtual network emulation

I'm running breezy, one Ethernet card, dhcp configured, pretty simple.
Running as non-privileged user.

Not quite sure how to set up the qemu network.

2.) If we "install to disk" with the Dapper LiveCD, and make changes,
what's the fastest way to "put back together" the LiveCD? Should we
still follow the Customization HowTo for Breezy?

3.) faster qemu alternatives? I found
UML, Xen, OpenVZ, Mac on Linux, and Linux Vserver on
wikipedia.

What do you think?

I had trouble figuring out how to boot an iso using UML; it appeared
that the client (and host?) might need recompiles. Is that true?

Is there a simple "man page" for UML like there is for qemu?

Thanks so much for any advice you can give.

Reza.
