Today is the last day to incorporate updated artwork for the 5.10 release.
This means that after today, screenshots of Breezy should be representative
of the 5.10 release.

Today is also the deadline for translation updates which cannot be
incorporated via language packs. This includes:

 * The Ubuntu installer
 * Translations which don't use gettext, including:
  * Firefox
  * HTML documents, such as the "About Ubuntu" page
  * `debconf` templates
  * desktop notifications via `notification-daemon`
 * `.desktop` files (menu entries)

Updates via language packs may continue through 2005-10-06.

The Linux kernel is also entering an additional freeze period today, where
it will be subject to more stringent restrictions in order to facilitate
building release candidate CDs.

Next Thursday, 2005-10-06, we will release the 5.10 Release Candidate. This
will be a high-quality, well-tested snapshot which will be held to the same
standards as the final release. After the Release Candidate, very few
changes will be permitted until the final release on 2005-10-13.
