Why don't we want the .desktop file

else theres no menu way to configure PPPoE?

Additionally, I noticed in breezy that it wont bring up the interface if
needed (e.g. ifconfig eth<n> up) but did in hoary which will break
setups in many cases -- any idea on that? i'll file a bug later.
