I think there is no reason to get smart with me.
a) I fixed it for myself - so no problem here for me
b) Many others had a problem - if you look through the fora you will
see just this.
c) if you use apt-get or synaptic for a big update (hoary to breezy)
then it is unreasonable to go through every single (1023 packages) by
hand and check if there are hidden issues - particularly as breezy is
going to be in a few weeks time the stable distro - it should not
anymore break people's install when declared stable. So me marking this
up as a bug is - I think - quite reasonable. Either it is taken
seriously or many more will have a problem when breezy is deemed to be
stable.
P.S. I did not use any CDs for updating to breezy, I have only done
network updates since early hoary
