How ubuntu makes initrd.gz?

Carlos, I may not quite understand what you're asking to do, but if you
have access to an installed Ubuntu partition (not the disk), you can
type 'which mkinitrd' and find the path to that bash script. It is a
script last I checked. Just copy that script somewhere and add your
own bash "twist" to it...
