2 kernel versions are not necessarely 2 upstream releases. even -686 and k7 are
2 kernel versions even if we call them flavour.
Spreading the idea of 2 kernel upstream releases is just dangerous and it is
simply not possible due to userland sync.

Maitaining -server and -desktop as 2 flavours of the same upstream release
is much less overhead and doable with what we have already implemented.
