Hi,

I wanna work together on ubuntu-express - I'm main developer of custom
Ubuntu/Debian based distribution for Lithuania and other Baltic states
named Baltix (little info in english about Baltix you can find at
ftp://ftp.akl.lt/Linux/Baltix/Baltix-readme.txt ). Currently Baltix uses 2
installers - Ubuntu/Debian text mode installer (look at
https://launchpad.net/products/live-installer ) and graphical installer
from Morphix ( www.morphix.org ) project. I decided to replace
Morphixinstaller with Ubuntu-express, because Morphixinstaller sources are
not easy maintainable and also it doesn't integrate well with Ubuntu/Debian.

Last news about Ubuntu-express I found at
http://lists.ubuntu.com/archives/ubuntu-devel/2005-September/010454.html
Here I found, that latest packages are at http://interactors.coop/~trunks/installer/
But these packages (0.92 version) are quite old (dated 06 september) and
contains some bugs, main bug is with gparted - on step 2 "Disk space"
there are no gparted embeded in ubuntu-express - look at this screenshot:

ftp://ftp.akl.lt/users/mantas/ubuntu-express/Ubuntu-express-gparted-bug.png

in terminal output I get "terminate called after throwing an instance of
'Glib::OptionError' " when I enter to step 2 "Disk space"

Is this bug easy to fix ? I can improve ubuntu-express 0.92 (I have some
experience with python), but in current situation it's not comfortable to
work together on sources, because I don't really know where are latest
sources (at debian/copyright file in sources I found, that "The original
source can always be found at:
 http://ws314.juntadeandalucia.es/guadalinex2005/live_installer/ ", but at
ubuntu-devel mailing list there are info, that sources are at
interactors.coop svn)

So, it is important to know where are latest sources for work together
and also to know your oppinion about nearest ubuntu-express future.

I think it would be wise to register ubuntu-express on http://launchpad.net/products/
and import latest sources into Bazaar.
Please register ubuntu-express product on https://launchpad.net/products/
- I've already registered udeb package, which allows to use existing
text-mode ubuntu installer with live-cd - look at

https://launchpad.net/products/live-installer

Btw, maybe you use some instant messenger system (like jabber) or IRC ? It
would be easier to work together if our comunication will be faster. My
jabber ID is mantas at akl.lt, so you can talk to me easy :)
