Again, I think we're applying the term stability to different things.
Does deploying Gaim 1.2 instead of 1.1.4 really cause big problems?
Bigger problems than caused by having less buggy software?

Well, maybe so. After all many places run NT 4 instead of Win2000 or XP.
Nonetheless, nothing in the decentralised model *forces* you to use the
latest releases, it just gives you the option to do so if you want.
