Alternatively, Asus could be asked to fix their broken BIOSes. Adding
extra kernel packages isn't a real option - it'd double the time taken
to produce security updates.

A lot of this support is already present in Hoary, though we currently
lack support for generating user-level events. I'll look into this.

The processor power states won't be used if a hardware-specific cpufreq
module has been loaded.
