Can I please umount my usb device?

why should it be userfriendly to provide a unmount option for a device
that doesnt need to be unmounted ? doesnt it dissapear if you just
unplug it ? for me this kind of devices just dissapear from nautilus if
i unplug them and i cant imagine a more userfriendly way...
