Unnecesary laptop services

Hi all, i'm new in this list, i have a HP nx5000 laptop and i've
installed both warty and hoary (yesterday), and i find kind of
missplaced services like RAID Managment (madm, madm-raid) and
Enterprise Volume Manager (evm) i allways need to disabled using
"update-rc.d" or "rcconf", it's any chance that in the ubuntu-laptop
package include something that disable this unnecesary services for
laptops?

PS: Sorry for my bad english, but i'm learning (i speak spanish)
