Java problem (gcj-4.0)

I've installed gcj-4.0 and corresponding library
but invoking the compiler gives:

skaller at rosella:/work/felix/flx$ gcj-4.0
gcj-4.0: libgcj.spec: No such file or directory

Looks like something is missing..?
