Thanks for your interest. As you can see from the specification, we've
described a few components that make up the proposed design:
- A graphical user interface to guide the user through the installation
- A graphical partitioning tool for advanced partitioning tasks
- A backend which integrates with existing Ubuntu installer components, so
as to share well-tested code where possible
Are you interested in working on all of these, or only some of them? The
trickiest part of this project is the third item, since it will require some
in-depth knowledge of how the existing installer works, but with enough
motivation it shouldn't be a problem for an experienced programmer to learn
it.
