Installing smeg as the default menu editor?

Hmmm I think the 'Accessories' menu is really a pot-pourri of minor apps
with no obvious connection to anything else in the system. I think
putting it there would be treating the menu editor too 'lightly', you
are being too modest on the role and usefulness of your SMEG,
Travis ! ;o)
The Editor is clearly, tightly bound to the Desktop interface, it is
used to modify it, it applies to the user only, not system wide, so it
should really go to System->Preferences. And Oliver's clever suggestion
of putting it in the 'Menus & Toolbars' capplet more specifically, has
the added bonus of not increasing the count of icons in the menu.
All 3 menus : Preferences, Administration and System Tools, are all
quite full and only going to expand as new GUI tools are inevitably
added over time. So I think from now on we should really try to group
things/features, where possible (ie, where it doesn't hurt usability),
before resorting to adding new menu entries...
