Is there any chance that gstreamer-lame will also be packaged before
breezy is released? I think this is really important, because
currently it almost impossible for new users to rip cd's to mp3 (there
is a wiki page https://wiki.ubuntu.com/CDRipping but it is not for
newbies) and this is one of the things a lot of people will want to
do. Of course you can rip to ogg, but as almost everyone owns a mp3
player nowadays, it would be a major issue if Ubuntu cannot rip to mp3
and possibly a reason not to use Ubuntu...

Soundconverter, which is on revu, also needs this to convert to mp3,
which people will expect it to be able to.

In short it would be great if someone can package it...
