problems with resolution settings

no i didnt ?-).... being new to ubuntu (may05), i didnt know it was a
bug or due to my mistake in the first place.
That apart i had to have a working system to go online, which i
didnt...and it was easier to go back to the stable version.
Maybe i should file one now, if its not done already :-)
