microcode in live?

Hello list,

I've seen an issue with several live distributions, which is the
shutdown process.

It currently happens with a bunch of our celeron machines. The problem
is: when you tell gnome to shut down the machine, it goes to text mode
and starts to shutdown services. Then, it ejects the cd. Right after
this, a line telling to press enter to shutdown or restart the machine
should appear, and pressing enter would have the desired behavior.

Those machines stop responding right after the cd is ejected - no "press
enter" line nor shutdown.

Knoppix suffer from this issue, also as kurumin with kernel 2.4.25. The
solution was to install the microcode update when building the live cd.

How can I help fixing this?
