gnome startup bug

I am experiencing some bug with gnome on my hoary ppc installation:

I have 2 users on my system. For the one everything works just fine- For the
other one gnome hangs after the splash-screen with brown background and
the panel displayed as just a grey stripe on bottom.

I dont know what it could be waiting for or whats crashing and as I dont
know
much about gnome internals I dont know what infos/config files of that user
could be of interest in order to find the problem?

any ideas?
