Would such a report from anyone who gets "edidfail" be of any help?
(This is on laptop Dell Inspiron 1100 with i810 chip)  If so, I can
add my data to a bug report in Bugzilla (there're some duplicates
there, but I'm thinking of the base one :).

I usually manually tune my HorizSync to larger range, but I'd still
prefer to have it detected right away :)
