Shall we support the autorun feature?

According to my Mac-using co-workers, Apple (both OS9 and OSX) does
indeed have autorun, though none of them are exactly sure how it works.
I don't know if it's the
same functionality Jerry Haltom described, or more the Windows
equivalent.

I'd opt for 1. It seems unlikely that a cdrom would ever attemp to
corrupt your home dir, but it is possible, and as Linux becomes more
popular an attempt at exploits like this will get more likely. I feel
strongly about the "security before ease-of-use" that seperates Linux
from Windows. People may have difficulty coming from a less secure OS,
but if they want the more secure environment of Linux they'll just have
to adapt.
