We would very much appreciate if you could re-test with the live CD and
confirm the problems.  If there is a bug specific to the live CD, it needs
to be fixed.  As I recall, another of your bugs may have fallen into the
same category.

You can use rsync to update your existing live CD image to the latest one:

rsync -P \
rsync://cdimage.ubuntu.com/cdimage/daily-live/current/hoary-live-i386.iso \
/path/to/existing/hoary-live-i386.iso
