I'm not sure I fully understand - it will(/is?) possible for users to
rebuild OOo with JDK support but there won't be a prepackaged version? 
Would it be possible to get a package into restricted or multiverse?
(not sure which is more applicable)

Database support in OOo would be such a nice feature and I think that if there isn't a way for users to have it there will be a) tons of people asking how to get it and b) others turning away from Ubuntu.
