It would be impolite for the installer to offer vague warnings about 
things when it can work out the details itself. First, find out how big 
the updates are going to be, and if there's not enough disk space, 
explain why they won't be done. If there is enough space, and if 
there's already an Internet connection, detect how fast it is and give 
an estimate for the download in days/hours/minutes together with the 
disk space figure.
