Hello.
// This is from my early-January thread about letting pl-utf.kmap
// into Hoary, so console users could input Polish characters in
// the Hoary-default UTF-8 locales.

Emil Oppeln-Bronikowski opened #6267. Meantime, I contacted Alastair
McKinstry, the Debian maintainder of console-common and console-tools;
unfortunately, these packages are already frozen for sarge and even an
unstable upload is currently out of the question.
What are the chances of making an Ubuntu-specific (i.e., not-synced with
Debian unstable for the time being) Hoary package that would include
this keymap and make it into Hoary? I understand why it's questionable,
but it's just one keymap and it would fit so nicely with moving Ubuntu
to UTF-8 smoothly...

But perhaps ISO's central secretariat follows just the common industry
practice pioneered by Microsoft: 'We will get it right in the third
release.' -- Markus Kuhn on ISO 10646 PDF CD-ROM edition
