Yes, that's what I mean - but it could be done a bit more subtle! 
ssh-askpass-fullscreen causes a complete shock when it's started, but if 
it'd be done with a subtle grayscaling of the desktop (not even complete 
grayscale, colors could be left as in gnome-logout. If the brightness 
won't be changed, things won't be flashing is suppose.
