Wait a minute. Dell asked you to file a report about its broken BIOS? 
Are they actually interested in fixing their BIOS bugs? It would be very 
interesting to know more about Dell's intentions to support Non-Windows

Have you asked them about, or could you ask them about the VBE modes 
contained in the BIOS? AFAIK they do not include any widescreen modes, 
not even for widescreen notebooks (like the X1) or modes they are 
selling monitors for (e.g. 2405FPW: 1920 x 1200 @ 60 Hz). I'd be so 
happy if Dell fixed at least that part of the BIOS.
