Dear all,

while rummaging some of my older hardware i found an AVM PCI ISDN card.
So i thought of setting up a kind of call-monitor for my phone. I
installed the card, isdnlog etc and some other stuff regarding isdn.

Now there are some things i can not figure out.

lspci gives:
0000:00:0a.0 Network controller: \\
AVM Audiovisuelles MKTG & Computer System GmbH Fritz!PCI v2.0 ISDN (rev
02)

loaded modules:
hisax_isac
hisax
isdn

Anyway, there are no entries in \'/dev\' regarding isdn. When i create
them in \'/dev/isdn\' using \'MAKEDEV isdn-io\' it looks like this:

 ls -l /dev/isdn*
crw-rw---- 1 root dialout 45, 0 2005-08-29 19:02 /dev/isdn0
crw-rw---- 1 root dialout 45, 1 2005-08-29 19:02 /dev/isdn1
crw-rw---- 1 root dialout 45, 2 2005-08-29 19:02 /dev/isdn2
crw-rw---- 1 root dialout 45, 3 2005-08-29 19:02 /dev/isdn3
crw-rw---- 1 root dialout 45, 4 2005-08-29 19:02 /dev/isdn4
crw-rw---- 1 root dialout 45, 5 2005-08-29 19:02 /dev/isdn5
crw-rw---- 1 root dialout 45, 6 2005-08-29 19:02 /dev/isdn6
crw-rw---- 1 root dialout 45, 7 2005-08-29 19:02 /dev/isdn7
crw-rw---- 1 root dialout 45, 64 2005-08-29 19:02 /dev/isdnctrl0
crw-rw---- 1 root dialout 45, 65 2005-08-29 19:02 /dev/isdnctrl1
crw-rw---- 1 root dialout 45, 66 2005-08-29 19:02 /dev/isdnctrl2
crw-rw---- 1 root dialout 45, 67 2005-08-29 19:02 /dev/isdnctrl3
crw-rw---- 1 root dialout 45, 68 2005-08-29 19:02 /dev/isdnctrl4
crw-rw---- 1 root dialout 45, 69 2005-08-29 19:02 /dev/isdnctrl5
crw-rw---- 1 root dialout 45, 70 2005-08-29 19:02 /dev/isdnctrl6
crw-rw---- 1 root dialout 45, 71 2005-08-29 19:02 /dev/isdnctrl7
crw-rw---- 1 root dialout 45, 255 2005-08-29 19:02 /dev/isdninfo

But when i try to start \'isdnlog\':

isdnlog /dev/isdn/isdnctrl0
isdnlog: Can\'t open /dev/isdn/isdnctrl (No such device)
isdnlog Version 4.69 exiting
exit now 2

Looking at the files in \'/etc/isdn\' everything looks ok for me.

What am i missing?

Uli
