Where are the minor X11 clients? xsetroot, xmodmap, xgamma, etc

Well, the clients that are crucial to me that I've just copied over from
other machines so I can continue working in Breezy are mainly xmodmap
and xev.  Is there a page in a wiki somewhere, or a bug number,
explaining the problem with these clients?  I'd be happy to spend some
time on it.
