On supporting fast moving target packages (antispam, etc.)

At our local LUG meeting today a newish Ubuntu user asked me about how
Ubuntu handles "fast moving" packages that need frequent updates,
specifically for server side tools like windows AV software (for
scanning samba shares), antispam software, etc. etc.

As far as I know, there is a project that handles this for Debian,
http://volatile.debian.net/, but I am unfamiliar with it and its quality.

I was wondering if there has been any talk about how to handle packages
like this for breezy+1.

Regards,
