I agree with this.  Ubuntu is a much better workstation & server than
debian itself, in my opinion that is.  I would do one of two things.

1) Join up with the Ubuntu project and make this a double-great distro.

or

2) Work on making games for linux in general, as suggested by Chris earlier.
